Royal Ann College of Health (RACOH), formerly Royal Ann Health Academy (RAHA) was established on 6th September, 2010 with only one programme, Healthcare Assistant (HA),which is currently phased out. The HA programme was accredited by the National Vocational and Training Institute (NVTI).

LOCATION: The College is located in the Atwima Nwabiagya Municipality in the Ashanti Region of Ghana with a digital addressAH-0837-6717. The campus has a serene environment which is conducive for teaching and learning. The infrastructure of the College is solidly constructed and neatly arranged in a spacious compound.

The College has qualified, competent, committed and well-motivated teaching and non-teaching staff. It upholds quality teaching and consistently maintains and delivers academic and social services to a high standard. It currently has a total of 78 teaching and non-teaching staff.


The College is structured organically to enhance effective communication, creativity and innovations to improve job satisfaction among all staff. There are academic and administrative organs responsible for the overall operations of the College. The organs are:

2. Nursing and Midwifery Council (N&MC)

3. Allied Health Professions Council  (AHPC)

4. Pharmacy Council (PC)



Royal Ann College of Health is affiliated to following bodies:

1. University for Development Studies (UDS- Tamale)since 2015

2. Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training   (CTVET) formally National Board for Professional and Technician  Examinations (NABPTEX) since 2014.



The College is granted accreditation and affiliation to run the following programmes:

  1. Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology
  2. Diploma in Dispensing Technology
  3. Diploma in Registered General Nursing
  4. Diploma in Registered Midwifery
  5. Higher National Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology
  6. Higher National Diploma in Dispensing Technology


FUTURE PROGRAMMES: The College intends to roll out two programmes in Medical Imaging:

  • Ultrasound Sonography
  • Radiography


CONCLUSION: Royal Ann College of Health is one of Ghana's best private health training institutions that  provides quality and holistic healthcare training in an ultra-modern state-of-the-art facilities. A total of 2,830 students have been enrolled since September, 2010 and 2,425 have graduated in various programmes. Our graduates are gainfully employed both in the public and private health facilities in the country. They include all the Teaching Hospitals, Regional Hospitals, District Hospitals, Polyclinics and all other lower level health care providers in the country and beyond.
